Kim has graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where her major instrument of study was the piano. She also has a Master of Science degree in Education, and a second teaching certificate in Elementary Education from St. Francis University. She has taken courses in Music Therapy (the study of how music helps heal the body), and has also studied privately with Jimmie Amadie (of Woody Herman Fame). She has taught music and directed choral groups in the public school system for many years, and participated in "Building Bridges Through Art Smart" a study of arts infused education through Penn State University. Working in cooperation with the Art Department, she directed the musical portion of a Television Production for Children which featured a musical composition with lyrics written by the students in her music class. She has also been hired by the owners and managers of golf clubs and ski resorts (Chestnut Ridge Inn and Resort, 7 Springs Mountain Resort, Omni Bedford Springs Resort) restaurants, and lounges (Gettysburg Bed and Breakfast, Monteray Bay Fish Grotto (Pittsburgh), Omni William Penn Hotel (Pittsburgh), Purple Iris Restaurant (West Virginia), Harrigan's Lounge @ Holiday Inn (Johnstown), and was one of the featured performers at the David Tutera Bridal Event in Pittsburgh. She is presently a member of a Praise and Worship Band at her local church, and teaches private piano lessons to students of all ages and ability levels
(her present students range in age from six to ninety-one).
Playing the piano is Kim's passion, and she enjoys helping clients make their events unforgettable. No event is ever too small or too large, and Kim will work with all budgets to make live music available for you and your guests!!!.
