If you want to add a touch of class to your wedding reception, anniversary, corporate event, holiday party, or private affair, the warmth of live piano music is your answer. Frank Bielski promises beautiful, appropriate music that will surround you with the elegance only a piano can create. It will leave a lasting impression long after your guests have gone home.
Frank has played at some of the Chicago area's most prestigious venues, including Chateau Bu-Sche, Schram Memorial Chapel, Salvatore's, University Club, Chicago Cultural Center Preston Bradley Hall, Como Inn, Crystal Ballroom, Drake Hotel, Germania Place, JW Marriot, Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge, Lake Forest Academy, Loyola University Museum of Art, Palmer House Hilton, Scottish Rite Cathedral, Sunset Ridge Country Club, Evanston Golf Club, Park Ridge Golf Club, White House, and many more. In addition, he has played at countless places of worship, private residences, and restaurants.
Though classically trained, Frank can play a wide variety of styles (jazz, tin pan alley, ragtime, stride, bossa nova, light rock, etc). If you have favorites, he will showcase them. As to the arrangements, he tries to keep the style of the time or decade in which the song was written…Gershwin, Kern, and Berlin in a tin pan alley roaring 20's feel… Rodgers & Hammerstein, Lerner & Loewe, and Andrew Lloyd Webber in a more lush melodic flow…Sinatra, Jobim, Brubeck, Stan Getz in a bossa nova mode…50's and early 60's rock in the fun, rhythmic pulse which made them #1 hits.
Frank offers a vast selection of film themes and songs, and of course "classical" (his strongest point)…Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart, Liszt, Debussy, Ravel, and his personal favorite Frederick Chopin. He has also mastered beautiful piano transcriptions of over a dozen beloved arias.
Frank's playing will never become overpowering or obtrusive in any way. The loudness or softness will be gauged by the size of the room and the number of guests. Listed above, under "song list," are a wide variety of songs, standards, film themes, and classical pieces for you to use as a reference to his style of playing. Frank will also gladly invite you to hear him in person to go over all you favorites and other particulars.
