Sharp Photography is a full-service photography studio. We specialize in portraits (family, senior, etc.), but we have many years of experience photographing events, real estate, and construction. If you need a photograph of something, we can do that for you. The tagline for our company is "Seeing the World Differently." That is what we enjoy most: seeing the unusual, the unexpected, the surprising in a typical event. However, we don't think that events are "ordinary" because we can find something special in anything we do. We like to spend time getting to know our clients. Whether that's in a formal consultation at the local Starbucks, or if it's a phone conversation, we will ask you questions, you can ask us questions. We learn about you and you learn about us. Together we learn if we are a good match for each other. With some personal knowledge, we feel we can elicit more intimate and real photographs. We listen to our clients. We learn what you want, why you want it, and what we can do to produce this for you. We have worked with a number of vastly different clients. We have worked with couples, individuals, families. But we have also worked with children, construction companies, and individuals selling real estate. It's a mixed bag, but it's fun. We learn something new after each photo shoot. Lastly, I would advise someone looking to hire a photographer to check the photographer's portfolio, as this can show you what the photographer can do and it reflects his/her photographic style. In fact, compare the portfolios of suggested photographers. They portfolios will not be the same, but comparison allows you to recognize "good" or "not so great." I would suggest talking with the photographer. This will ensure the photographer understands what you want and can provide that to you.
