Hello! My name is Marco Simoneli, I come from an area in Italy that is famous for saints, inventors, one of the finest sparkly wines around, doctors and professors, a mighty fog that surrounds the city for most part of the year and some kick ass affreschi by Giotto. I am not sure how all of this influenced me, but what I can tell you is that I am a well rounded cook, bourbon connoisseur, bad musician, style junkie, gear head, old school to the point of non sense, DIY fanatic and lately totally ok about being a libra. I have been a professional photographer since 2001, shooting hundreds of weddings, families, high school seniors, boudoir, performers of all kinds, models, actors, singers and CEOs. My work has been published in national magazines. I have won print competitions and received awards and accolades from internationals photography associations like WPPI and Wedding Photojournalis Association. In recent years I have been teaching photography and lighting at one of the most fun and hands on workshops in our industry called After Dark. As for my style of photography I like to combine a documentary style with posing and directing. There are moments that need to be captured specially during a fast paced event such as a wedding. But there are also times when we can slow down and play with lights and locations. My clients love to dedicate a portion of their most important day to portraits of themselves and their loved ones, family and friends.
