Prince/Barry Project Variety Band from Downers Grove, IL

The Prince/Barry Project is an Electric/Acoustic band playing uniquely original music. With influences from World Music to Ambient, Acoustic to Jazz Fusion and Metal, The Prince Barry Project will soon be on your list of favorite bands. Alan Prince has spent a lifetime studying music for guitar and keyboard. His extensive musical studies have included classical guitar and piano, jazz guitar, music theory, and even heavy metal. Alan Prince's acoustic guitar music mixes a variety of musical influences with a diverse collection of guitar techniques. He draws on classical and flamenco Techniques and uses modern acoustic and electric guitar artistry, Alan Prince not only crosses the boundaries between acoustic and electric Guitar, but also blends musical cultures from the East and West. The outcome may be jazz, classical, heavy metal or a wholly original melding of all three. Mr. Princes live shows have been touted as “Acoustic Guitar Music for Metalheads”, and “Acoustic Guitar Music on Steroids”. His concerts have been hailed as both compelling and captivating. Mr. Prince has also written several film scores for independent films such as, “Je t'aime”, “Aht Namas”, and “The Canoe Trip”. Don Barry is a renowned Drummer and Percussionist who studied extensively at Northwestern University in Evanston. Don has an extensive background in all elements of rock, jazz, and jazz fusion.
