Prince One Man Band from Portsmouth, VA

I am a steel drum musician of 50 years and have performed throughout the Caribbean and North America in the district of Columbia. I tune steel drum instruments and teach classes in the techniques of performing on the steel drum. I have performed at social functions and private parties, restaurants and clubs. I am a one man band with a full band sound. I also do workshops on the Steel drum instruments. Having had first hand experience with the creating and development of the instrument as a native of Trinidad and Tobago. I have performed at the Cock Island race for 7 years through the city of Portsmouth. Previously in the Caribbean I have composed and arranged music for the steel band and have been to the national panorama of Trinidad and Tobago with my own steel band. My music includes Calypso, reggae, pop, jazz, latin and some of my own compositions. I try to keep the Caribbean influence through being able to bring other types of music to the audience. But aware that familiar music is always very well received by all types of audiences. I think that Robert Greenidge is a musician that has influenced my performances. I also appreciate the music of Bob Marley- The Blue Notes- Lionel Richie and most music from the 80s. However I play all types of music
