The Mighty Ikes are..... Sara Mac - vocals / guitar Jared Fowler - drums Scott Edwards - guitar / vocals Jeff McCluskey - bass / vocals We play past and present rock and roll and pop music for parties, weddings, corporate events, clubs, etc. all the Ikes are pros with many years of experience. and we provide our own soundman, sound system and lights. we`ll act as MC, if neccessary, and if you include a song list, we`ll play some of your personal favorites as well. we recently finished a four song demo `recorded live in the studio`, so you`ll get an excellent idea of what you are paying for. you`ll find the songs on FACEBOOK (just type in the mighty ikes and scroll down until you find the 4 youtube links with our logo. or follow our band link on Gigmasters to our ABOUT page, scroll down to MEDIA, and there you will find the four cover songs we recently recorded. if you are looking for a band that plays only the best rock and pop music from the 60s until now, we are definitely your band! thanks for your time. please hire us. rock on. sincerely, the Mighty Ikes SARA MAC vocals / guitar / percussion already with 13 years of experience playing and performing in the Columbus area, Sara holds a unique place in the band. transcending age, she is a pro who brings youthful energy and presence to the stage. an excellent guitarist, she`s evolved into a terrific lead vocalist who can bring it in a variety of different styles. put simply, she`s a pleasure to watch and listen to, and she leaves it all on the stage. every good rock band needs a sparkplug, a charismatic front person, and Sara leaves no doubt she`s ours. sara`a influences include the pretenders,green day, ani difranco and the smashing pumpkins. JARED FOWLER drums the drummer really is the engine that drives the music, and if that is true, then with Jared, the Ikes have a big ol` V8 under the hood. apparently someone noticed when even as a small kid, he was using his toys as drums and got him his first real kit 27 years ago. and he`s never looked back. having played in rock,funk,and jazz groups,orchestras, and even a stint with the OSU marching band, Jared brings a ton of depth and experience to the Ikes, not to mention, a wayhuge backbeat. a few of his many influences include Mitch Mitchell, Stewart Copeland, Neil Peart, and Alex Van Halen. SCOTT EDWARDS guitar / vocals the newest Ike brings many years of experience and stylistic versatility to the band. scott has been a part of the music scene since he was thirteen. being heavily influenced early on by van halen and randy rhoads, he soon moved on to study many different styles of music, especially the blues. this eventually led to a move to california to study and complete the GIT program at musicians institute in los angeles. indeed, the ikes are fortunate to have a guitarist as diversified and talented as scott. he`s quite capable of delivering the kind of guitar pyrotechics (face melters) that will leave your jaw hanging open and equally capable of playing sweet and melodic. oh yeah, he sings too! JEFF MCCLUSKEY bass / vocals the anchor...the punisher...the bringer of big rock n roll thump. Jeff has played all over Ohio and Michigan for the last 40 years and provides a wealth of experience, bringing to the stage his tasteful,steady bass playing, background vocal talents, and love for rock and roll music. Jeff`s influences include- Paul McCartney,John Entwistle, Berry Oakley, Chuck Rainey, Jack Cassidy, Ray Brown, and a guy named Jamerson...who played bass on just about every Motown hit you ever heard.
