Sweet Heat mixes Latin & world-beat rhythms with influences from Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, Caribbean styles and Latinized Jazz standards all in a highly entertaining, danceable presentation. The band is in great demand in the top clubs in Southern California. We are professional, prompt, well rehearsed and presents a lively show that will put a smile on every face in the crowd from 8-80. The music is Latin Jazz, Cha Cha, Rumba, Salsa, Afro-Cuban, Samba, Mambo, & African Dance rhythms for the party mood. For corporate and gentler feel the Sweet-Heat also tones things down to Bossa Nova, Son, Danzon, Boleros and Cool Jazz. We also play standards. A singer can be added with Spanish, English and Portuguese Lyrics. The band features Liam Leahy on Flute.
