2012-2016 have been incredible years for us! We were featured on National Public Radio, National Public Television, and toured the US with shows in 18 states: AL, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MI, MO, MS, NC, OH, SC, TN, VA and WV . We were honored to headline concerts and festivals in Glen Saint Mary, FL, Marysville, OH, Scottsville, KY, Blountstown, FL, Dallas City, IL, and Caruthersville, MO. We had the opportunity to back Justin Rivers (from "The Voice") at a show in Bowling Green, KY!
We provided live music for many corporate events including: U-Haul, Aramark, Subway, Boy Scouts of America (2014 National Meeting), Passport America, LifePoint Hospitals, Hanel Storage Systems, Graincraft Corp., Higher Education User Group, Harry Norman Realtors, Keystone Financial Services, Georgia Career Institute, Video Gaming Technologies Inc., Salvus Center, R.C. Mathews Contractors, University of Tennessee, University of Kentucky, Vanderbilt University, Country Music Hall of Fame, and Western Kentucky Dragon Boat Races on the Ohio River in Paducah, KY.

We are glad to work with the needs of individual clients and can coordinate with detailed planning. We can include recognizable songs such as Rocky Top, Man of Constant Sorrow and Sweet Georgia Brown.
We love the joyful atmosphere of weddings. Our goal is to contribute music that helps to make your special day extraordinary. We are glad to provide light instrumental prelude music while guests are being seated, light hearted songs for the cocktail hour where friends and relatives can celebrate and engage in conversation. For the reception, we pick up the pace with music for all to enjoy along with the rest of the party.
Community Concerts and Outdoor Festivals:
We provide an evening of music in an artistic and engaging way. In this setting, we play more original material, share a bit of our personality and talk a little about the music we play. Specialty instrumental numbers include: The Lady of Spain (on 2 banjos), Mozart's Piano Sonata in A Major and the Latin flavored El Cumbanchero (both on 5-string banjo).
Professional Sound System Available:
We can supply and run all of our own sound equipment and lighting. We have several configurations to fit venues from very intimate to large outdoor spaces. Husband and wife, Michael and Jennifer McLain, both grew up in musical families, are both banjo players, and have been playing together since their first date. Their concerts always include banjo music, but also prominently feature outstanding vocals, guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and upright bass. Together they have performed in 27 states from New York to California, Canada, and have appeared on the Grand Ole Opry, Kentucky Educational Television, Iowa Public Television, CMT, RFD Television, NPR, and National Public Television.
Growing up, Michael performed with his family, the McLain Family Band all across the United states and overseas, including concerts at Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Museum, Lincoln Center, and Chicago's Orchestra Hall. For several years he toured and recorded as part of the Claire Lynch Band as well as with Dale Ann Bradley. He was featured on a CD with Claire Lynch that was nominated for a Grammy. For 13 years, he taught guitar, banjo, mandolin and bluegrass ensemble in the School of Music at Belmont University in Nashville, TN.
Jennifer has recorded vocals for major label, independent label, and demo sessions in Nashville. She has shared the stage with Vince Gill, Richard Marx, and Justin Rivers (from "the Voice). At an early age, Jennifer won awards at banjo competitions such as the Galax Fiddler's Convention and went on to be a featured performer at Busch Gardens - Williamsburg and the Renfro Valley Barn Dance. Jennifer graduated from Elon University in Elon, NC with a degree in Music Performance (saxophone!) and holds a Masters degree in Counseling.
