This group (THE BAD RACCOONS) is young, energetic, talented and fun! We could not have asked for a better fit for our first concert at Craven Community College. The group appealed to everyone in the audience and it was a very diverse group in both age and background.

From solo banjo to full on bluegrass band and all in between, I have been playing professionally for 15 years and have access to the best musicians in North Carolina. Let me know what you're looking for, and I'll provide you with the finest entertainment around.
My most recent musical project includes traveling around the world and collaborating with the folk musicians of different countries and cultural backgrounds. I just released Banjo Earth: China, a full length album and documentary film recorded while traveling all around this amazing country. If you are looking for world music, or are thinking of special themed party for a specific country or region, consider Banjo Earth. (I also am associated with an amazing chef and caterer upon request). Check out the Banjo Earth project at
Silky smooth gems for the ears. An infamous concoction know for leaving melted hearts in its path. Gypsy jazz with banjos, fiddles, pianos, and sopranos, the mood is set with an elegant vibe when these folks take the stage. Swingin', Jammin, folkin, and funkin, the CO setlist covers the musical landscape. The sultry sweet vocals of Sarah Strable mixing with the soulful string playing of Andy Eversole has for many moons been a creative and inspiring connection. An instant classic!
As you can see, we offer plenty to choose from. Each one unique, yet each one holding the standards of quality and professionalism that Rivers of Mars Music is known for. All bands can range from a duet to a full 4/5 piece band. It all really depends on you. What type of event are you wanting to have, and what are your personal tastes? Any way you go, you are sure to have an exciting and unforgettable event. Banjos not Bombs, Rivers of Mars Music
Andy Eversole biography
First, Bill Monroe's ancient tones rang across the valley. Then, Doc Watson's guitar pickin' from Deep Gap drifted in from the hills. Finally, Earl Scruggs banjo pickin' flew through the air like a runaway comet, leaving him hooked beyond recovery. Hundreds of bluegrass festivals, Phish concerts, and Grateful Dead bootlegs later, Eversole's music has become a “Creature” of its own. Gently and chaotically running through the most traditional sounding bluegrass, diving into old time, folding into jazz, fusing into funk, and melting into time. The music guides the listener through a mystical, musical journey. His songs are original, creative, crafted gems of endearing quality, dealing with Life, Death, Love, and Moonbeams. All laden with sweet fiddles and haunting banjos. This is where 'Mountain Music Meets the Cosmos'. With a pioneer's spirit through and through, Andy recently began work on the project, Banjo Earth. This is a series of albums and movies taking place in countries all over the world. Armed only with the banjo and some recording equipment, he and the team take off for uncharted territory to experience new music and old traditions. China was the first destination on the itinerary, lending itself to a deeply spiritual and musical experience, and only the winds know what adventures await next.
Long live art, music, and Joy!
