I was one of three children to integrate an all white school at the age of seven in the town of Ferriday, Louisiana. That experience helped to mold me into the person I am today. I learned that a person opinion on you does not have to become your reality, because its what you think of yourself that really matters.. After finishing high school I joined the United States Army and fought in the Gulf War. That conflict affected my family life, and my beliefs. The war allowed me to face fear and not allow it to stop me from attaining my goal. There is a lesson in everything. I joined Toastmasters in 2001 and was a member for several years. While a member, I won multiple awards for speech presentations. I wrote two books, one while I was unemployed for a year. What sets me apart from others is that I bring topics that are relevant to what is going on around us. I research the area and venue at where I will be performing. This gives me an idea on what is important and meaningful to my audience. The short stories from my books are about my life experiences. My stories will inspire, encourage and motivate your guests. When the audience leaves the event, I hope that they will be inspired to go after their dream and trust in their ability to achieve what others say is impossible. I want them to be glad they came and leave with the courage, inspiration,enthuisam to never give up on themselves!!!
