At age 36, Matt Pond had the world by the tail. A gifted musician, growing a business, finishing his college degree, married with three young boys and endless opportunities in his future. Some confusion and scrambled language prompted a weekend visit to the emergency room. Matt was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer, oglioastrocytoma-glendioloma mix in which the chances for survival were less than 1%. Three surgeries left Matt unable to read and write, paralyzed on his entire right side, and loss of his peripheral vision. See how Matt has adapted and overcome these challenges, learning to read and write again so that he could finish his college degree, learning to do things with one hand, like tie a tie, change and diaper a baby, fold clothes, build shelving, etc. Most impressively, he will demonstrate his unique, one-handed guitar playing.
