James (Jim) is avaialble to assist various groups and organizations by providing a wide range of talks at affordable rates. I take pleasure in meeting new people and groups with which to interact. I will facilitate, arrange and implement short talks (60-90 mins) daytime or evening or plan full retreat or work/study days. I keynote as well as create breakout sessions. All planning is done in advance with you to ensure that you receive exactly what you are looking for to make your event successful. Career My career has been spent in religious education, adult faith formation retreat leadership and motivational presentations of general interest. I enjoy music, storytelling, visual and performance arts. A sense of humour is critical in any gathering of people. I feel that we, as a society, need to talk and laugh more with each other, understanding various perspectives and values. We need to appreciate, affirm, accept and recognize that people are all called to something unique and individual. Life with purpose is essential to one's well-being and wholeness. A member of CAPS, the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers, I like people and enjoy facilitating and addressing groups on topics that will enhance their lives. I speak as someone who is not above or more qualified than others but someone who walks the journey with those seeking to find a comfortable path to personal, professional and spiritual goals. A firm belief that our spirituality or response to the world around us is born out of gratitude and a sense that we blend with the Divine allows Jim to talk with sincere hope and belief that we are always called to be more.
