Mariachi Cuicani is composed of well known Austin musicians. They play classics from the mariachi musical heritage as well as their own arrangements of both traditional Mexican and contemporary songs. Created in 2014, Mariachi Cuicani collectively brings over 30 years of musical talent to the Austin music scene and has a repertoire that ranges from late 50s doo wop to the more traditional mariachi style songs delivered with a show! Comprised of 5 members, Mariachi Cuicani (pronounced 'Kwi-Kani") has musicians that can play everything from guitarron to harp and they sing and entertain with an enthusiasm not found in other local bands.
