ROSS THE MAGICIAN Ross the Magician is a professional magician, comedian, stage director, producer and actor and has directed and starred in magical productions from the Las Vegas Strip to the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, California. He has performed countless international public performances and has mystified, amazed and entertained young and old audiences alike for over twenty-five years. He specializes in stage magic, comedy magic and children's magic. He was just honored by being named the 2016-2017 Arizona Stage Magician of the Year and he currently owns and operates a popular weekly Magic dinner theater show in Tucson, AZ (www.mysterydinner.theater). We believe in everyone's ability to perform magical feats. The difficulty is when we lose sight of this ability within ourselves. Our Program is designed to remind us that we can all "Make-it-Magic". The means we use to accomplish this is through family oriented magical Entertainment. HISTORY & PHILOSOPHY Ross performs expressly for the purpose of entertaining and educating of all ages. Magic allows development through positive affirmation and belief in the ability to perform feats which challenge limits and defy natural explanation. Magic also can teach us to think out of the box and dynamically learning problem solving techniques and analytical thinking... all while having a magically fun time filled with excitement. Ross customizes every performance incorporating specific themes into his performances. For children's parties, this may include thematic lessons such as: no bullying, sharing, specific religious metaphors, holidays, safety, friendship... For Corporate performances, Ross often uses magic to make the CEO literally appear before the crowd, or have the CEO/Department heads literally and metaphorically escape from chains. Other adult event themes range from holidays, huckster magic, mind reading, illusions, etc... Locally, Ross is a favorite magician at the major resorts and casinos in Tucson and has performed his magic at Desert Diamond Casino, Casino Del Sol, Westin La Paloma, J.W. Marriott, Ventana Canyon, The Omni and Canyon Ranch to name just a few. He has performed and taught magic for Pima College, the TJCC, the City of Tucson, Parks and Recreation Department, Tucson-Pima Public Library, Amphi School District, the Tucson Urban League, various summer camp programs, and many more. He's a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the Society of American Magicians and The Academy of Magical Arts (Magic Castle) in Hollywood where he's also performed and lectured on magic to other magicians. Ross produced, directed and performs in Murder at Magic the Magic Show, a popular comedy murder mystery dinner theater show which has run since 2005. Whether he is performing or acting as a magical educator, his shows are always delightfully entertaining and fun ways of bringing out the message of magic. Ross has been performing magic since he was 7 years old.
