THE CONTELS are a 6 piece Doo-wop, Rock N' Roll, Motown and Swing Band from Erie, Pennsylvania. We are a recording artist of 'Hey You' and 'Lovers Dream' recorded in 1957 on Warwick Label. We reorganized this band in 2003 and have been out entertaining audiences ever since. With Keyboard, Saxophone, Trumpet, Lead Guitar, Bass and Drums and tight harmony, we are able to perform the music of our times. So if the songs we are playing are not the song you want to hear, we do take requests. We appeal to people of ALL ages who still love good music with lyrics that have meaning and good memories. Music that makes you want to relive those days when we were young. We opened for HERMAN HERMITS, and appeared at our local Casino twice with THE MARCEL'S and in shows twice with THE HESITATIONS. We have played at Benefits, Fairs, Festivals, Car Cruises, Sock Hops, Old Fashion Days, Red Hat Societies, Colleges, Weddings, Anniversary Parties, Big Dances, Rib Off's, Grand Openings, Graduations, Street Dances, Picnics you name it, we played it. So for anyone who wants to dance, sing=a=long or just tap your feet, put your glad rags on bobby socks too, lace up your saddle shoes hop over to your 1957 Chevy Convertible, turn on your jUkebox while chewing your bubble gum or simply twist on down to GigMasters and will see ya later alligator!
