Excellent jazz for all occasions. Duo, Trio, Quartet, Quintet.
New York Confidential combines musical style inspired by the Big Apple with the best jazz musicians in the Pacific Northwest. Bandleader Cynthia Mullis brings a taste of New York jazz to Seattle, playing saxophone with an East Coast flair and a West Coast sensibility. High quality music and professional service mark every performance of New York Confidential.
The band is available to perform in a variety of settings. New York Confidential consists of saxophone, acoustic bass and jazz guitar, with vocals and tasteful drums to add extra pizzazz. A duo or trio can provide background music for cocktails, dinners, and parties, performing cool jazz standards and bossa novas. Add drums and vocals to create a lively party atmosphere with music from the R&B side of the jazz spectrum.
New York Confidential is a sophisticated change from the average cheesy-sounding variety band: no synthesizers, no out-of-tune singer, no "Louie Louie." Our specialty is providing listenable and danceable acoustic jazz. It is our primary concern that the music fit the setting in attitude, style, ambience and sound level. Our repertoire covers the full spectrum of jazz and can be easily customized to your preferences and tastes.
In addition to numerous newlyweds, some of our past clients include: Crossroads Shopping Center, United Parcel Service, Woodland Park Zoo, Taste of Tacoma, Tutta Bella, North City Bistro, Serafina, Interbay Golf Course, Harbor Steps Residences, Morris Graves Art Museum, Bell-Anderson Insurance, Capital Food and Wine Festival, Bellevue Community College, Triple Door and Tula's jazz clubs.
New York Confidential not only provides great sounding music, but excellent, attentive service at a competitive rate. Whatever your musical need, New York Confidential means excellent jazz music for your event.
