John Pollard Acoustic Guitarist from Newark, DE

As a solo performer, John plays and sings his original music on acoustic guitar. In addition to his original material, John also performs covers by Cat Stevens, the Beatles, James Taylor, etc. Suitable for dinner parties, receptions and intimate gatherings, John's original material is easy to listen to, new to the ear, yet memorable, and draws on melody and lyrical content. He released his first solo CD, entitled 'Winds of Time' in March 2002, and has recently (2005) released a second solo project entitled "My Bethany". Both of John's solo CD's are comprised of his original material. Copies of all of John's CD's are available for review upon request. John plays regularly in the DE-MD-PA area as a solo performer as well as with his band, The Cole Younger Band. John also performs regularly as part of a trio, with the bass and lead guitar player from his band, operating under the name of "Pollard's Pharmacy". John's first CD recorded with the Cole Younger Band, entitled "Ride On", was released in January 2001, and the band released their second CD, "Younger All The Time" in February 2003. The band plays regularly at the Blue Crab Grill in Newark,DE, as well as at a variety of Delaware State Parks, Bethany Beach, DE events and local taverns. For the past several years the Cole Younger Band has also appeared in Harrisonville, Missouri, hometown of the infamous outlaw, Cole Younger. In Harrisonville the band performs John's original material written about the James-Younger Gang, blending folk, country and rock. John plans to record & release a new CD in the coming year that will contain the songs he's written about the Younger and James brothers, exclusively.
