Sang Matiz is a band from the Bay Area that plays mostly originals composed by the lead singer. The band fuses elements of Flamenco, Afro-Brazilia/Peruvian Rhythms with modern touches of Funk & R&B. The band in its many forms performs in different settings such as: weddings, festivals, wineries, concerts, nightclubs and private events. Sang Matiz can express its music as relaxed or exciting as your occasion may require and so, we can offer: our full band (6 or 5), quartet, trio, or duet while still retaining our energy, essence and artistry. Sang Matiz played for our winery's "Music on the Terrace" series. We saw about 1200 guests that day, many of which were wine club members who stayed all afternoon enjoying the band. There is an honesty that comes through Yuriza's soulful voice...absolutely mesmerizing at times. I will go see Sang Matiz perform in other venues, and I will definitely have them back for next year's series! ~Stephanie Domaine Chandon

I had Sang Matiz play for my husband's 40th birthday party. It was a small party of about 30-35 people, but I wanted a "big" festive feel. I knew having a live band would create the right mood. I was blown away by Sang Matiz. They were professional performers and great individuals. They are extremely talented. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a fun, original Latin sound. I'm so glad I trusted my instincts and went with them. Everyone raved about them!
