SIGNATURE PROGRAM: Take this Job and...Love it! An ecologist's guide to creating places where people want to work. In today's competitive work environment, leaders must find ways to energize and inspire their team and motivate future employees to join. But how? After attending this presentation, participants will be able to: * Implement strategies to positively influence their workplace culture and to create an "ecosystem" where employees are inspired, motivated, and thriving. * Connect on a deeper level with their employees thereby building trust, team cohesion, and improving recruitment and retention. * Cultivate positive energy in the workplace through purpose and community. * Develop processes to improve communication, accountability, and trust. * Prioritize and implement the most impactful processes first. *Understand that maintaining workplace culture is an ongoing, iterative process REAL COMMENTS FROM REAL ATTENDEES OF MY PROGRAMS: (I'm always trying to improve, so I ask for feedback after every presentation. Here are some comments from past attendees.) "Inspirational! Relatable and well spoken. I got something from every story and example he shared." -Grace, Coralville, IA "Chris is an eloquent speaker who speaks with you rather than at you. [His presentation was] excellent...with real world examples that you can relate to in your own daily career." -Amanda, Davenport, IA "A fantastic speaker... making me want to be a better leader to my staff." -Brinkley, Marion, IA "Insightful. Engaging. I really enjoyed the personal stories and the connection that is made." -Ben, Vinton, IA SOME MORE ABOUT ME: I have worked for great leaders and I have worked for crappy ones.  I have studied great leaders and I've read all about the bad ones (who hasn't, right?) I have created organizations with great cultures. I have created places where people WANT to work.  And that's what I want to help you do.  Here's what I know: * Life is too short to languish at work, where we spend so much of our time * People can be productive AND happy (in fact, happier people are MORE productive...who knew!?) * Creating a great workplace culture is NOT rocket science * There are universal natural principles that apply as much to human systems as they do to the "natural" world.  Combining all of these things together, you can create the type of organization that people want to be a part of (including you!). A place where people thrive. And when an organization's people thrive, the organization thrives.  Here's an example: You've probably seen how trees sometimes lean or curve toward openings in the canopy. Why do they do that? They're pursuing the sunlight, the energy. They don't consciously think about it. They just do it. It's a natural force.  People do the same thing. We're unconsciously drawn to what energizes us. Only we have different names for that energy: purpose, passion, fulfillment...etc. When organizations intentionally connect their people to that kind of energy, they tap into a natural force that is intrinsically motivating. From that energy, engagement and productivity increases. So does job satisfaction. As a result, people are more likely to stay...and recruit others to join. Do this well, and there's no limit to what can be accomplished.  Who wouldn't want to be part of that "ecosystem"? Throughout my career, I've identified many of these natural forces and tapped them to create thriving organizations.  If you feel like your people and your organization could thrive a little better, let's talk.
