Steve is a native of Springfield, Ohio graduating from Shawnee High School in 1984 before leaving to travel the world. Steve first started playing guitar when he was 8 years old, learning from Springfield's great John Lippolis. In the intervening 32 years, he has traveled many miles, and through many influences in his life and music. Currently, Steve mainly focuses on the challenges and rewards found in Celtic fingerstyle guitar, but he still retains the mellow focus that has always put him in a category above the rest. In a style that is uniquely his own, he blends freeform fingerstyling, Celtic roots, Jazz and classic standard pop into a mesmerizing beat which has been described as “hypnotic”. Always presenting a professional appearance, and using only a minimum of space, Steve will delight with the sounds he brings to life on his custom built Gibson J200.
