The tag line says 'a tasty blend of jazz, rhythm & blues' which is true enough. Midnite Walk's repertoire includes contemporary smooth jazz, straight-up jazz, latin, R&B, neo-soul, world fusion and original compositions. A bit eclectic? Yes, but it works! The heart of any band is the bass and drums, i.e. the rhythm section. If the rhythm section is happening, it performs as a single unit. In the case of Midnite Walk, the bassist (Emmons) and drummer (Wayne) do play as one, in no small part due to the fact that they are brothers and have been playing together since...well, since forever. Lena, the Swedish sensation, adds her fantastic voice coupled with range, passion and a smile that lights up any room. Bill adds the traditional keyboard colors with some uncanny emulations of saxophones, horns and guitars, giving the group a much larger sound than your typical trio. Midnite Walk is a terrific choice for weddings, corporate parties, or other special events. For the social hour, high quality background music can be provided to create an up-scale ambiance your guest will appreciate. And, when it’s time to party, the group knows how to turn it up to get the dance floor jumping. An established, tight, professional band, last year they played in excess of 90 dates throughout the Seattle area. “Imagine That”, their debut CD, was released in 2004.
