Erin Dickins, founding member of "The Manahattan Transfer", is a sparkling performer and a first-rate singer. Erin performs with her jazz duo or trio featuring great jazz standards, Cole Porter, Gershwin and originals. Classy, elegant and fun, Erin Dickins and her trio will bring your event to life! Although we can provide elegant sophisticated background music, that is not all we can do!! Erin is a unique and powerful performer who can entertain your guests and customize a show to suit your needs. Singer-songwriter, producer, performer, Erin Dickins has extensive experience in the recording studio and on stage. Her focus has been writing, producing and recording original material with the Manhattan Transfer and during her own solo career, recording background vocals for well known artists and composing and recording radio and television commercials. Ms. Dickins has performed and recorded with many well-known artists including: James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, Bette Midler, The Talking Heads, Yoko Ono, Melissa Manchester, Jim Croce, James Brown, Randy Neuman, Laura Brannigan, Janis Ian, Roberta Flack, Peabo Bryson, Barry Manilow, Patti Austin, Ashford & Simpson, Leonard Cohen, Dr. John, Paul Butterfield and Levon Helm. Ms. Dickins is noted for her commercial recordings including: Burger King, Ford, Dr. Pepper, Mc Donald's, Lucky Charms Cereal, Chevrolet, Sears, Kodak, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Polaroid, American Airlines, Lifesavers, Johnson & Johnson, Chevrolet, Skippy Peanut Butter, Soft 'n Dri, Ralston-Purina, Toyota and Quaker Oats. She has worked with numerous national and international advertising agencies including DFS, Gray, D.D.B. Needham, Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy & Mather; J. Walter Thompson and Milici-Valenti. Mr. Dickins was trained in New York at The Herbert Bergorf Studio for drama, and voice with David Sorin Collier, Anne Countryman and Myron Earnheart. She owns and operates her own digital recording studio in Easton, MD, and devotes many hours to the Community Alliance for the Performing Arts, a non-profit she founded in 1998, dedicated to teaching children the theatre arts.
