The Amber Underwood Project is a jazz ensemble of talented musician and singers that are simply amazing in there fields, allowing her to graces any parties, corporate function, happy hours, weddings and events with her own personal style and class. Classical trained and highly talented jazz flutist Amber Underwood, is as well an educator and vocalist. Amber is a native of Kansas City and has been entertaining and performing music since she was 8 years old beginning on the piano. At age 12, Amber began playing the flute and was trained classically from elementary school and currently teaches students. While in college, Amber discovered jazz and became intrigued with the art form inspired by musical influences of Bobbi Humphrey, Hubert Laws, Frank Wess, Herbie Mann and Nestor Torres. At age 20, Amber graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance and by 23 she completed a Masters of Arts in Arts Administration and Music Business from the University of Missouri Kansas City Conservatory and continued her education with a second Master's degree in Education and Teaching Music from Pittsburgh State University.
