Chris Kroger is a professional, full-time musician. He plays solo piano; duo with bass, percussion or guitar; trio with bass and drums or electric bass and percussion; and often quartet with an added horn, guitar, or even vibes. Often, depending on the gig situation, he will sing blues tunes such as "Eyesight to the Blind," jazz standards such as "It's Only a Paper Moon," pop ballads like "I Heard It Through the Grapevine," and classic rock re-workings like "Low Spark of high Heeled Boys." Chris plays a multitude of venues and events: festivals, house concerts and parties, bars and clubs, art galleries, hotels, restaurants, weddings, openings, assisted living centers. Sets are tailored to the room and his large and varied repertoire of blues, jazz, popular standards and originals can be played in any combo and attuned to the specifics of audience and venue.
