Hi, I'm Rand. I am a solo jazz guitarist in the Los Angeles/North Los Angeles/Malibu/Ventura/Santa Barbara area, and I play tunes from the 1930's up to the present day - all the popular standards that everyone knows and loves (jazz, jazz blues, funk, hip hop, and some Diva tunes). I play rooms, dinners, bars, happy hours, corporate events, and parties with up to 200 people in the place and all manner of service activity around me. I fit in a small space, which cafes and restaurants like, because it is just me, and more or less any little area will work. I use high quality backing tracks to play jazz guitar over (and sing over if wanted) so it sounds like a full band. I specialize in improvisation, and no song is ever played the same way twice. I can play upwards of 4 hours. Everyone seems to like what I bring to the room, and are impressed with my playing. Customers of your establishment will eat, drink, and converse for a pleasant stay... and then come back asking, "Where is that guitarist who was here the last time"! I hear that often from the owners, and it's the sign I'm doing it right for you.
