The Cristian Perez Group was an absolutely fantastic choice for my 30th birthday party! The bass and guitar duo sounded great in my apartment, Cristian had brought along exactly the right equipment and the noise level and mixing was perfect. In advance, I had asked whether he could play a few of my favorite jazz songs and I was thrilled to hear pretty much all of them during the 2h performance (I had expected to hear maybe 1 or 2 of the songs on my list, but it seemed every time I listened they were playing one of my favorites)! I was very impressed with their talent and many of my guests (incl. a bass player) complimented the great music. Would book again anytime!

Cristian and his group were perfect for our wedding and very easy to work with. Their music was elegant and fun. Because our reception had a mix of younger and older people in a nontraditional setting (a suite of historic rooms), we needed music that would be beautiful but low-key. Cristian was able to tailor the performance to do just that. He played all the music we asked for (a mix of modern tango and classic tango and bossa nova). He even knew a bandoneon player! He was also flexible with a challenging parking situation, which eliminated a huge source of stress. If you like Latin Jazz, my husband and I would definitely recommend Cristian for your event.

I'm sure they played fine. After the fact, I was told they faded so much into the background they couldn't be heard. I don't remember hearing them play.

The Cristian Perez Group was a perfect addition of class to a cocktail hour prior to our Gala. Cristian was unable to perform that day but still came to make sure that everything was in order with the musicians, which was very appreciated and highly professional. I also found their rate to be very reasonable relative to other quotes I received. I encourage anyone in the DMV area looking for musicians for their event to check out these musicians.
