About Us Based in Portland, Oregon Standard Time Jazz duo consists of Brian Hart (piano and vocals) and Judy Malings(vocals) . Brian and Judy have both been professional entertainers for over 30 years , particularly in the private event and wedding industry. Bringing knowledge and experience and expertise that only top level musicians can, Standard Time Duo will ensure that every musical detail of your event will be of the highest quality. Standard Time Duo can provide the perfect jazzy background music for your cocktail hour or corporate event,, as well as provide ceremony music and vocals for weddings. Standard Time consists of a piano/keyboard with enhancements and a male and female jazz vocalist of the highest quality. We can easily add additional instrumentation such as strings, horns , guitar and percussion upon request. Standard time comes equipped with a high quality PA system that can easily accommodate small to large functions. As many couples now prefer to book DJS instead of live bands for their reception, Standard Time Jazz Duo will fill the gap between your ceremony and your reception by providing live musicians for your cocktail hour. We can also provide ceremony music for a package deal. Cocktail hour music can range from SInatra and Ella to todays hits, played softly with a jazzy touch. Ceremony music can include classical selections with our keyboard, or more current selections with keyboard and vocals. We can also provide strings, classical guitar and other instruments upon request.
