KOKO Jazz Band from Cincinnati, OH

Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, KOKO is a jazz/funk/R&B 6-member band of drums, bass, guitar, piano, and horns with vocals as a full band. However, we can entertain you as a trio or quartet as well to reduce costs or a space requirement you may have. We do not provide solo entertainment as the minimum group size is at least a trio. With deep experience is playing dance as well as background music for weddings, private/corporate parties, clubs, holiday gatherings, and even celebration of life events. Our objective is to please our clients by tailoring the music to your preferences. Or we can do that for you if you wish. Our members geographical history includes playing Ohio, Michigan, Florida, Southern California, Indiana, and Kentucky. We have played in jazz, funk, surf and rock groups through the decades and love what we do. While we are listed here at GigMasters as a jazz band, our repertoire also included Rhythm & Blues, Funk, and some Rock as well. WHy?: In many cases our clients want a mix of tunes that from more than one genre. We specialize in doing just that. Our swing to ballads to rock include the famous jazz and funk and Latin standards, iconic R&B tunes, and tasty rock n roll. Influences include Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, Curtis Mayfield, Al Green, Santana, Jobim, Freddie Hubbard, Herbie Hancock, Eurythmics, James Brown, Pat Metheny, and more. We like to measure our success not only in the music provided, but the minimal amount of effort our clients need to expend in hiring us throughout the entire process. We are timely in our response times, neat in our setup and teardown, never "bring our friends" to your event, and make certain we are clear about your expectations from the start.
