Collecting Efforts Band: began as a concept and grew from a collective of kindred spirits in 2009 – each dedicated to creating music and entertainment – being conscribed to the pure essence of musical substance and joy – into a band of musicians. Being inspired by the conceptual direction of Kelvin Hammond, and led by music director Philippe Fields with contributions from each member including: Benton Gardner, Roy Parsons,and Zachary Bridges; Collecting Efforts has expanded with contributing and guest artists: Latisha Smith, Hal Abner, Ron Gary, Freddie Frazier, Cheryl James, Keon Bellamy, Tony Foster, Marvin Thomas, Sam Hardy, and Jerry Miller. Collecting Efforts is a band that has both studio and performance available in a variety of venues – from small entertainment locations and parties, to large concert halls. We deliver the music in the form you require – from folk, jazz, to Acapella, and also contemporary rock to juke joint blues. Among our members, our artists have taught in private to university studies – and among our students, Grammy-Award winning artists have emerged.
