CHAMPAGNE JAZZ is your answer to the typical jazz trio. A very elegant upscale sound. CHAMPAGNE JAZZ consists of James "JT" Taylor on vibraphone (vibes), Dan Sieckman on Guitar, and Dennis Sexton on bass. CHAMPAGNE JAZZ can entertain the most sophisticated crowd with its cool jazz sound. I formed this group in 1980 and it was an instant hit! It allowed us to play jazz and explore some great jazz compositions and the booking agents just loved it. Myself on vibes, Dan Sieckman on guitar and Marc Cousins on bass. Fast forward to 2009. I decided to reform the group after a 25 year hiatus and the guitarist, Dan Sieckman had relocated to Arizona. So, once again, Myself on vibes, Dan Sieckman on guitar and Dennis Sexton on bass. CHAMPAGNE JAZZ performs Live jazz music. CHAMPAGNE JAZZ consists of seasoned players who have toured, recorded and played with a variety of musicians the likes of which include Ray Charles, Linda Rondstadt, Mose Allison, Johnny Mathis, Roger Williams, Rita Moreno, Charo, Dionne Warwick, Burt Bacharach, Marvin Hamlish, Cab Calloway, Eddie Fisher, Lena Horne, Shirley Jones, and many more., Members show up early and are dressed appropriately for the event. Members are responsible for providing our own sound equipment. CHAMPAGNE JAZZ can easily capture the fancy of your hippest guests (both young and old). CHAMPAGNE JAZZ will perform retro classics from the great American songbook, jazzy standards, bossa novas and cool jazz hits from the 1930's thru the 1960's. Our swingin' style will create a hip and elegant vibe that is perfect for listening or dancing.
