Boss Jazz Band vocalist, Audrey Moira Shimkas, originally from NYC, brought the trio to the San Francisco Bay Area. Their fantastic repertoire is a unique and entertaining mix of swinging Jazz and timeless American Songbook classics from the 1920's-50's, Latin Bossa Nova, Blues, Rock, Classic Country, and Folk. The Boss Jazz Band is the perfect addition to corporate events, festivals, stage concerts, clubs, restaurants, weddings, cocktail parties, dance parties and anything with the word "party" in it! Each set they perform is filled with songs audiences know and love! The group is led by Audrey Moira Shimkas, a charismatic, soulful vocalist who captivates with a gorgeous voice and a warm, endearing style that makes each performance a unique and entertaining experience. On keyboard is the dynamic, grooving Greg Sankovich; on sax, super trouper, Tony Malfatti; on low down bass, Peter Barshay; and on drums the sensational, rhythm master Alan Hall. The band can fill out with trumpet, guitar and other musical friends on other instruments. Audrey previously had two and a half successful years in residency with her quartet in Yoshi's Jazz Lounge, SF – spotlighting some of the best West Coast musicians. This last summer she was features at Klimpton, Starlight Room, Sir Francis Drake Hotel Union Square, SF. The Boss Jazz Band takes pride in their work as musicians and entertainers.
