Bill Wurtzel is a renowned guitarist who has played worldwide with the greats: Count Basie Countsmen (12 yrs), Harlem Blues & Jazz Band (12 yrs), organists Bill Doggett (7yrs), Jimmy McGriff (3 yrs). His private event clients include the Riverside Symphony & Paul Simon. Bill specializes in small groups: solo classical/jazz guitar, duo and trio. Repertoire: American Songbook, Jazz, Brazilian & Blues for listening/dancing. Bill can be heard live Wednesdays 2-3 pm at the American Folk Art Museum (8 yrs) with bass legend Jay Leonhart. Other public performances at Bill is a director of the Jazz Foundation of America. References upon request.
