Randye is known as the Happiness Simplifier. Years of study into the “happiness movement” left her frustrated at the lack of humor there– and its needless complexity. As a result, she created the program and upcoming book Happier Made Simple.
With years of experience as a morning radio personality and actress, Randye knows how to think on her feet and help your event go smoothly and happily as live host, MC, or announcer. She also provides acclaimed motivational keynotes, leads fun and interactive workshops and is a fun and productive live auctioneer.
On the more serious side, Randye speaks frequently as Mental Health Activist to groups of doctors, nurses, medical students, families, providers, and legislators regarding the family experience when mental illness hits. She is a published author (Ben Behind His Voices: One Family's Journey from the Chaos of Schizophrenia to Hope), Family-to-Family teacher/trainer for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and diversity trainer with the Anti-Defamation League.
Randye uses her vast experience in radio, improvisational acting, voiceover and theatre to teach and inspire in educational and corporate environments. She brings words to life not only in her presentations, but as a prolific audiobook narrator.
“You were tremendous as live auctioneer for East Harlem Tutorial Program 26th Annual Spring Benefit (2012) and we are very grateful. Our deepest and most heart-felt thanks to you for an absolutely phenomenal job on our Benefit. Just to give you an idea of your impact on our event, you helped us raise 25% more revenue for our auction than last year, with approximately 25% less attendees in the room. Amazing!”
— Ann and Mark Casella, Event Chairs
“I can't tell you how many rave reviews I have received about you as our MC/Auctioneer. Everyone thought you were fun, entertaining and you added the elegance and panache we so badly needed. You helped to communicate our cause and make our story that much more compelling -- which elevated our event to a completely new level.”
— Clare Chimento, Family and Children's Agency, Imagine 2012 Event
“And 'perfect' is the right word for Randye! She was the MC/ auctioneer for our event this weekend, and raised more than double our estimate!!! And she did this without haranguing anybody, but by making the crowd want to support our mission. We have already booked Randye for next year.”
— Poppy Cummings, Neighbors Link 2012
"Randye was the M.C. for the Connecticut Press Club's awards banquet. Far from being just a pleasant presence at the event, she was able to steer the event smoothly from beginning to end. Her dynamic personality, sincerity and wonderful nature make her a pleasure to work with. We attribute much of the success of the event to her being our M.C. and will always be grateful."
