Jeniece is a native Georgian who has been ripping and rolling since her arrival at Georgia Baptist Hospital since the Spring of '86. She is the founder of Special Needs Siblings - a non-profit organization committed to supporting the siblings of disabled individuals. She is the mother five fabulous children- Christian, Caleb, Jada, Rose, and Raymond, all of whom rock her world and shake up her soul! Jeniece's life experiences and tenacious drive led her diving headfirst into special needs advocacy and consultation. She primary works in the Autism, Epilepsy, and Sibling areas within the special needs community. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, trying new cuisine, and learning the latest dance moves.
I am a passionate Autism & Special Education Advocate, Speaker and Founder of Special Needs Siblings, who provides resources and tools to assist special needs families.
As a special needs parent with 14 years of experience, my goal is to offer comfort, encouragement, and practical advice to special needs families impacted by autism and various developmental disabilities. My lively and energetic presentations allow the audience to feel inspired, reassured, and motivated, especially during the emotional and challenging conversations. I understand that parenting is a hard job, and it becomes even harder as a special needs parent. It is my mission to show families/caregivers how to be their child's best advocate and give them the tools and answers they need to move forward. From support groups and meetings conferences to special needs organizations, I tailor my message for each specific audience to spread awareness and give hope to parents, families, and caregivers.
Not only am I a proud parent, I am the Founder of Special Needs Siblings, Inc, a non-profit organization committed to raising awareness, support, and resources for the siblings of disabled individuals. As a special needs mother of five I understand the need to address the lack of sibling support within the family. Now, I had no clue how to start a business or what I was doing, but I recognized something needed to be done. I knew it was not going to be easy and I learn as I go, make mistakes, then adjust and keep going.
I would love to provide guidance and motivation to your audience on my own powerful message as offering comfort, encouragement, and practical advice to special needs families impacted by autism and various developmental disabilities.
It is my mission to assist both siblings, parents, and community by:
Engaging: You are not alone.
Educating: When you know better, you do better.
Empowering: You cannot change yesterday, but you do control tomorrow.
