A unique combination, Zoe Vandermeer brings to your event both song and harp, and special harps at that! Zoe Vandermeer is one of just a few people in the United States who plays a beautiful Welsh triple harp. Whether playing her Welsh harp or richly toned large Celtic harp, Zoe provides both songs and harp solos in a variety of styles - Ambient, Classical, Celtic, late Renaissance, Baroque, and Welsh music. Ms. Vandermeer is an accomplished pianist and if you are looking to augment your special event with piano, this is a combination she can provide for you! Or perhaps you are looking for more than one musician - Ms. Vandermeer works with top professional instrumentalists from the greater Tri State area, who have years of performing experience on the stage and for events. A prize-winning graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Zoe Vandermeer is on the roster of the Connecticut Commission of Culture and Tourism, and has performed internationally as a baroque and classical singing harpist. Ms. Vandermeer was winner of the Bay Area Vocal Arts Competition, 3rd place winner of the national American Prize Competition with a Special Citation for her voice and celtic harp performance, finalist in the Wilfred Laurier Concert Aria Competition and London Young Artists Early Music Competition. Her solo voice/baroque harp album 'Angel's Wine, the Songs of John Dowland' won second place for Best Classical Album by JPF. Ms. Vandermeer is a recipient of the Dame Joan Sutherland Fund, MTNA Foundation Grant Fund, and Emerging Artists Fund.
