The Hollywood Reporter has called Stephanie Bennett "one of our country's top harpists". Awards include First Prize in the Salvi International Competition of Jazz & Pop Harp. In her career of thirty-plus-years so far, she has performed in the United States, Switzerland, France, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Argentina, and Costa Rica, including solo harp performances for the Harp Society of the Australian Capitol Territory; the International Music Seminars in Montpelier, France; and the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. Her repertoire is uniquely varied, as she loves to bring her special touch not only to beloved classical themes (Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Debussy), but also to timeless standards such as those performed by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Rod Stewart, et al; movie and Broadway themes; international selections from many lands; and more contemporary selections not usually associated with the harp such as Beatles, Stevie Wonder, a few unexpected rock and jazz selections, and the current popular love songs! In addition to harp solo, ensembles available include harp and flute; harp, flute and cello; harp, violin and cello; harp, flute, violin and cello; and multi-harp ensembles. Stephanie Bennett takes pride in using the magic of her harp playing to enhance the ambiance of events, from the most intimate private dinner party or courtyard wedding, to the most glamorous Hollywood and corporate events. She takes care to consult with the client and tailor a selection of music to the client's taste, whether that may be a mix of the above; or mostly classical, mostly contemporary and popular, only New Age, sacred music for a particular faith or tradition, learning a couple's favorite love songs or other unique selections, etc. Stephanie Bennett has performed for events featuring appearances by heads of state including President Obama and the President of Ireland. She has been chosen to provide the music for the weddings of many stars, including Jennifer Lopez, director James Cameron, and musicians Chick Corea and Trent Reznor. Stephanie has also played harp onscreen in television, music videos and films, appearing with Celine Dion, Aerosmith, John Tesh, and Bette Midler. She has accompanied singers on the TV shows AMERICAN IDOL, DANCING WITH THE STARS and ELLEN.
