Bellingham Harpist, Alishia Joubert understands what today's busy couples need to facilitate their wedding planning. Who has time for vendors that don't communicate quickly and efficiently? With over eighteen years of experience performing for weddings, Alishia has the ability to guide couples through the process of selecting music that will reflect their unique personalities. Quirky weddings are her specialty! Each ceremony is custom designed, and special requests are welcome. If you do not have the time (or desire!) to choose each song individually, you can trust Alishia to select pieces that will be meaningful and appropriate for your special day. Unlimited phone and email consultations are available to make certain all of your questions are answered, and every detail is taken care of. Alishia is a supporter of marriage equality, and is happy to work with all couples wanting to celebrate love.
In addition to performing at weddings, Alishia also enjoys playing for a variety of personal and business functions.
Alishia has her BA in Harp Performance from Northwestern University, where she studied with Liz Cifani, harpist for the Lyric Opera of Chicago. She enjoys collaborating with other musicians, and is happy to accompany your vocalist.

She showed up early to make sure everything was set up. She brought a couple of attire options so we could talk about it and she could match the theme. She engaged the children and made the whole experience wonderful.

Alishia was amazing to work, and my favorite vendor we hired for our wedding! She was great in our consultation with explaining her process, playing us examples, and incorporating all of our vision of tone, theme, and a special song request. Her services were a great deal and covered our entire ceremony along with learning the special song. She even sent a preview of the song to make sure we liked it. Her performance had all of our guests crying with emotion, and it was my favorite element of the day. She was so kind too, even tearing up at our relationship story, and we really connected. She's wonderful and I hope we have an excuse to hire her again someday!!

Alishia really brought the magic to our little wedding with her presence and music. Our day was kind of chaotic- we ended up having the ceremony outside as we were locked out of the venue, and Alishia just rolled with it with a good sense of humor that really helped put me at ease. After our ceremony we were eventually let into the venue, and Alishia was so go-with-the-flow about moving inside to continue playing for us as we walked around the conservatory. Her music was so personal and beautiful and everything I dreamed of. I could honestly go on and on about her but unfortunately I have a 675 character limit here. Let me just say this: you want her at your event!!!
