Steve A. Caldwell received Christ as his personal Savior in 1973 and dedicated his life to the Lord. Filled with the desire to follow the scripture verse Mark 16:15 "Go Ye into all the world an preach the gospel to every creature.", the ministry was now underway.
Apryl Caldwell accepted Christ into her life the summer of 1965, however, it wasn't until many years later that she really came to know who Jesus is and learned that true joy comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ. It's that joy that she wants to share with others.
At the start of Gospel Sounds Duet, Steve and Apryl had no idea of how much God had planned for them. The knew that they had the call to reach others through the medium of gospel music. Together, they began locally doing nursing homes, churches and conventions. Now the travel nationally, doing churches of many denominations, Salvation Armies, missions, rehabs, prisons, nursing homes, malls, revivals and conventions. They have also appeared on television and radio.
Gospel Sound Duet travels presenting salvation's message, encouragement, hope and faith to a lost world. This is achieved through music, testimony and scripture. Many people have come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior. They will travel, no matter what the distance, knowing that God will always supply their needs. However, they will accept an ample love offering, accommodations and meals.
There have been many blessings as they travel from city to city. They have had travel mercies and many exciting and unusual events occur.
Gospel Sounds Duet currently has four completed projects. The first one, "It's Not Too Late" was recorded in 1997. The second one, "Lead Me to the Rock" was recorded in 1998. The third project, "The Moment" was recorded in October 2000 in Nashville, TN. The song "The Trumpet In the Ground" from that album was aired nationally in March of 2001. And the fourth project, Gospel Sounds Duet "Mose Requested Favorites" was recorded in May 2001.
Gospel Sounds Duet became a 501(c)3 approved ministry incorporated in the state of PA on December 26, 2001. We will gladly accept donations. A written receipt will be sent to you for income tax purposes.
Steve and Apryl request your prayers for the many miles they travel and most importantly, that God will continue to work through them to reach many lost souls. Also, for many more doors to open and for the finances to be sufficient to support the ministry.
Our favorite scripture from which we draw inspiration is: Phillipians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me." - for without Him, we could do nothing.
"Steve is an accomplished musician and singer. He and his wife have been ministering all around the area for many years. I would recommend Gospel Sounds Ministry for any Christian event."
Hi Steve and Apryl,
It was a pleasure to meet both of you and to spend time talking with you at Becky's house on Saturday night. I have heard a lot about you from my parents and they always have wonderful things to say about you. I am glad that I had an opportunity to meet you.
Your ministry on Sunday morning was a blessing to me and your message was truly inspirational. I have been going through some difficult times in my life recently and your message was what I needed to hear. I appreciate that you are obedient to God and you sang the songs that He put on your heart.
Love in Christ,
Suzanne M. Bash

Pastor Dave Nagle
Thank you for your message on Sunday. It was a pleasure to sing along with you. So many want to come and just sing. You two come and want to "be part of us"! I liked that! On your website you have some songs that we can download and some we need to be online to listen to. I managed to download 3 songs, (not instrumentals). There was one song in particular, "Always A Child". By the time it was half through I had tears in my eyes--and I'm a man who will be 55yrs. old on June 16! I sat at my computer and listened and I finally "got-it". The accent, it was Irish! I also enjoyed the fact that at the dinner, "you talked with me as if we were family"! (Well, we are,in a way, part of God's Family). Then there was the "energy" you put into your services-- it was contagious! So much so, that the following Thurs. when we went to Valley View Nursing Home to sing and mingle with the residents, I was still "running hard"! I can't wait until you come back! I will definately keep in touch with you! When you told me Apryl wanted to come back in June I was so anxious I called the Pastor right away!
