I play live and make music to entertain and tell stories with fingers, thumb, breath and voice. American folk, country blues, ol’ time guitar and banjo classics along with acoustic pop songs. Ask Bing Copilot what makes JTSunrise a compelling musician Seattle music scene local since 1992, played 100s of shows, born in Chicago City of Blues in late 1968, clean/sober goofy/fun an respectful, licensed Pike Market busker, new to this interweb platform would really like to do more cultural events, house parties, and outside folk gigs (e.g. cowboy campfire songs for the birthday BBQ). I also play a nice acoustic guitar version of Unchained Melody which is a popular classic wedding song and I can sing classic songs but usually when a few musician friends are accompanying. I have not yet done a life celebration but I am crafting a version of Oh Danny Boy for that reason I have a small good quality sound system if needed (two Roland cube amps on stands) also can be battery powered for remote areas or outside and for DJ or MC use also, or I can simply sit or stand an deliver songs like they did in the ol time days without any need for amplifiers or microphones. I can customize songs, song lists, and playing style to best compliment your event with soft fingerstyle playing in the background or more rhythmic strummed or flat pick songs with a groove depending on the mood and vibe of the event I’m central to Seattle and I can quote a lump sum price with travel which is negotiable depending on what and where the event is. Please reply with a budget amount you can afford and a description of what you envision and what and where the event is and I will get back to you to confirm I am available for your event date. Typically I will not play for more than an hour. I will review and respond to you. If I think I may want to accept the responsibility to prepare and perform at your event, I may require a Zoom call to discuss the setting and expectations before we agree. This also allows you to hear me play a few song samples to consider if it is a good fit and to ask questions and to better envision the event and music choices and playing styles for best outcomes Example one-hour classic coffeeshop song list for acoustic easy listening set: I’m Only Sleeping (Beatles 1970) Peaceful Easy Feeling (Eagles 1972) Have You Ever Seen the Rain (Creedence Clearwater Revival 1971) Take Me Home Country Roads (John Denver 1971) City of New Orleans (Goodman 1969, A. Guthrie 1972) Fire and Rain (James Taylor 1970) Unchained Melody (Norh/Zarret 1955, Elvis 1977) Teach Your Children (Crosby, Stills & Nash 1969) Tennessee Waltz (Pee Wee King 1948, Sonny James 1970) One Tin Soldier (Lambert/Potter 1969, Coven 1971) Wayfaring Stranger (Traditional American Song 1770s) Wild World (Yusuf Cat Stevens 1971) Northwest Passage (Stan Rogers 1979) Gentle on My Mind (John Hartford/Glen Campbell 1967) Drift Away (Dobie Gray 1973) Ripple (Hunter/Garcia 1972) In Dreams (Roy Orbison 1963) Anyone can find hundreds of song recordings by me “JTSUNRISE” on SoundCloud - plenty there to wonder about - boys ‘n girls and all others of all sizes welcome, get yer instruments and play along, my internet porch light is always on. Im also on IG at JTSunriseMusic JT will sing you a soulful lullaby or hymn on Sunday, or on Saturday night he might raise Cain with the devil’s music (blues) or sing you a banjo version of a British pop song supersonic super hit - - - your gonna have songs wiggling in yer heads like dancing worms Find me near the gum wall on summer weekends at Pike Place, I be busking “Northwest Passage” next to a guitar case full of Canadian change All the Best and may u b Blessed, JT JTSunrise Music
