Molly McLaughlin is a flutist without borders. Molly received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Hartt School of Music and her Master of Music from the California Institute of the arts. Molly has stylistically mastered the music of many diverse genres including Classical repertoire, Baroque flute, Irish flute, Japanese Shakuhachi, Balinese Suling, African Atenteben, as well as Indian tala, and West African drumming, dance, and song. Molly has performed across the United Stated with ensembles including the Miami String Quartet and 70's rock band, Jethro Tull.
As technology continues to advance, live music is becoming a thing of the past. Weddings/civil ceremonies, reunions, art openings, celebrations, and other events will all benefit greatly from live musicians. DJs and the like were out of the question for our wedding. We wanted to make our wedding truly ours and steer clear of the typical traditions of weddings. Since our wedding was on Halloween in the beautiful Connecticut foliage we wanted something to fit that feel. Molly McLaughlin fit the wedding so perfectly. The simplicity of her performance enhanced the atmosphere so well and all the quests were in awe. I highly recommend Molly for your wedding or other event.
