Donald Zook, flutist, made his solo debut at Orchestra Hall in Chicago. He earned his Bachelor of Music from the American Conservatory of Music, where he received the John Conterio Award in recognition of his outstanding ability in performance. Donald has premiered and recorded several works for flute, written especially for him. His first CD, Last Rose of Summer features rarely recorded virtuoso music of the Romantic Era and is frequently aired on WCRB, WFCC, WFCR and the World Classical Network.
He performs with as a soloist and with critically-acclaimed professionals who perform frequently in the New England area. The Donald Zook and his Duos have performed at countless events from Cape Cod to New Hampshire, providing high-quality music of all genres at resorts, hotels, churches, restaurants, beaches and cliffs overlooking the ocean.
They have performed in concert halls, museums and libraries throughout the Eastern coast and the Mid-West, to standing ovations. Locally they have performed for South Shore Hospital, Talbot's, Massassoit College, Harvard University, Old South Church of Boston, Kings Chapel, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, The James Library, Norwell and the Duxbury Art Complex Museum just to name a few. They have provided music for wedding fashion shows on the Channel 4 WBZ TV People are Talking.
