Hello! My name is Candace Kiersky and I am delighted to share my passion for event planning on (I'm really just in it for the great food & drinks ;). This is ME showing YOU my interest in assisting in creating your own custom event. My experience working with clients one on one make planning your upcoming event interesting to me; and it is my hope that my experience coordinating details for small- and large-scale events make me interesting to you. By now, you've probably read dozens of profiles, some professional, some appalling. What I'm offering is hopefully different. I have just the right amount of experience to both help your vision come true and charge a reasonable price. I believe I am the woman you want to work with, and I am going to tell you why. For three years I worked as the Events Manager at Beecher's Handmade Cheese in New York City. I learned to perfectly produce a range of events, and to think quickly I was eager to try new things, and I appreciated working with some clients who knew exactly what they wanted and others who wanted to collaborate. Now, I produce at a high-end catering company, where each event and venue changes drastically, and the planning process is required to be much more exact. Events include galas for the NYC Ballet, MoMA, and the Highline; and details that I pay close attention to include staff scheduling, menu planning, rentals and product ordering. Besides what you can learn on paper, I am the girl you need, in so many ways. My sense of urgency is real, but I do not lose my temper or yell or scream (there are plenty of them out there). I have an instinctive and practiced ability to find the clearest solution to any shitshow. And THAT wouldn't be possible without delegating tasks, communicating with efficiency, candor, and poise, and my professional multi-tasking skills… AND my excellent taste. I will turn your ideas into a full on vision, and I will dedicate the time it takes to create a successful event… from choosing a venue, to choosing vendors throughout New York City to come together and make it happen.
