The Happy Couple Duo is a multi award winning husband and wife team specializing in customizable event music and lighting services. This high school sweetheart duo features Katy Tompkins (viola/vocals, DJ, Emcee) and Zachary Gillerlain (violin, DJ, Lighting). The Happy Couple Duo has a rich background of musical experience and training, studying classically through the Governor's School for the Arts in Virginia and CCM in Cincinnati.
The Happy Couple Duo offers the most unique combination of Live Music, DJ Music, and Lighting options in the tri-state area including instrumental arrangements of contemporary songs!
We offer many instrumental ensembles options in any combination of violin, viola. cello, guitar, and vocals. Our violin/viola duo arrangements of contemporary songs have received national recognition and are internationally published through Hal Leonard in a compilation book titled "The Big Book of Violin and Viola Duets."
Our DJ/Emcee services are unbeatable with the best quality gear and a huge catalogue of all the best in Top 40 and Underground Indie music. We are mix masters offering custom mash-ups to suit any musical taste...we bring the party whereever we go!
