One of Quincy's premier youth pianists, Luke Molloy provides music for social events of all types - cocktail hours, dinner parties, large gatherings, etc. He loves to perform and delights in being among those who love piano music.
Luke's repertoire includes American and popular standards and Broadway favorites as well as more contemporary artists, including the Beatles, Elton John, Billy Joel, Journey, Queen, Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Buffett, ABBA, Jackson 5, Simon and Garfunkel, Elvis Presley, Stevie Wonder, Frankie Valli, and many others. Luke also is constantly mastering and performing classical pieces. He has long entertained at holiday parties and has compiled arrangements of carols and holiday songs. He has played for many holiday party sing-alongs.
Luke is a student at Riverside Theatre Works in Boston where he studies the piano, and is a former student of the New England Conservatory Preparatory School. He has served as Music Director for Beauty and the Beast, Jr. and The Little Mermaid, Jr. at Central Middle School, and is preparing to serve as Music Director for The Sound of Music at North Quincy High School. He also has served as Assistant Music Director for Seussical, Jr. at South Shore School of Theatre and Willy Wonka, Jr. at Riverside Theatre Works. He has been a rehearsal pianist for many local musicals, including Cabaret, A Funny Thing Happened... Forum, Les Miserables, Legally Blonde, Children of Eden, All Shook Up, and Into the Woods. He also accompanies a singer at his local church every week. Luke has been a long-time music advocate and accompanist to many soloists and instrumentalists.
Luke is also the youngest Billy Joel Tribute Act in the country, known as An Innocent Man. His Billy Joel repertoire includes such classics as "Only the Good Die Young" and "New York State of Mind," ballads like "She's Got A Way" and "She's Always a Woman," rollicking numbers like "Don't Ask Me Why" and Everybody Loves You Now," and of course, "Piano Man."
Luke can bring up his professional quality Yamaha P-105B digital piano to any venue where an acoustic piano is not available. He also provides a microphone when needed.
