ELVIS By Dano (a Li'l Johnny Cash) owns the Best of 2014 and 2012 awards for the Seattle/Tacoma area. They are determined by client reviews and the number of bookings. He is also one of their most entertaining and interactive singers. Yes, Dan Peterson's nice voice and Elvis moves, plus the way he often sings close and personal to the ladies in his audience, creates a show that reflects the energy, passion, and humor that The King once shared with us.
The Angel Of The Winds Casino in Arlington, Washington is one of the many places where Dano has wowed the crowd on Jan 8th for the King's past birthdays. Yes, being a true Elvis Presley fan himself since the age of ten, he has loved singing along with The Great One most of his life. His first tribute to Elvis was back in May of 1994 at a church volunteer appreciation function, and in 1999 he sang his first full set of tunes to a very excited audience at the same hall. He was also a singer and guitarist for a rock and roll band around that same time period and often performed tribute sets to Elvis. The crowd always lit up when Dano took the stage during those shows. After an eight year stay, he left the band in late 2004 and went solo to become one of the most rockin' Elvis's around the Seattle Tacoma area and beyond, as well as a great ballad singer.
Dano can also, upon request, perform a lively and moving set honoring another of his childhood favorites, "The Man In Black", Johnny Cash. The perfect warm up act for Elvis, Dano's typical Johnny show is around a half hour in length, or up to about 45 minutes if requested. Dano dresses in all black, of-course, and brings his old country guitar. When a continuous two legend show is in the works, everyone gets really excited when Johnny does an about face to the audience and starts to slip on the famous gold lam'e jacket, and for added effect, the gold rimmed Elvis sunglasses too. Johnny Cash actually transforms into Elvis Presley as the dramatic music plays. When he turns back around to face the audience as "The King of Rock and Roll", the crowd always cheers in delight. Clients also have the option of choosing any of the other Elvis outfits, with a clothes changing break in between.
Dano can pay tribute to Elvis of the 1950s in the flashy gold lame' jacket, the GI Blues army uniform, the sixties star in the TV Comeback Special leather outfit, or the forever popular white jumpsuit of the 1970s. Once again, Johnny Cash wears the traditional all black. So, if you want your next event "All Shook Up", and maybe "Walk The Line" a little too, then ELVIS By Dano (a Li'l Johnny Cash) is the one!
Just Dano and his quality sound system.
