Overall they are a very talented group, and their leader was very accommodating for our requests and changes. They were definitely a great addition to our wedding. They did begin to pack up while there were guests still in the room so that was a little off-putting. I used to work weddings as well, and we always waited until all guests had cleared out of the space. However, that is a very small detail in the grand scheme. Their music was incredible and perfect for our event.

Ultimately, the music was AMAZING AMAZING
But, the lead-up to the wedding, and a hindsight review of the band is very disappointing. The bandleader (and reason we chose the band in the first place) quit about 6 weeks before our wedding. The new bandleader was slow to contact us, not as thorough in communication, and ignored one of our guaranteed requests. The band showed up late on the wedding day, shortened the Klezmer medley for the Hora, didn't even play one of our requests (and we only got a handful of requests), played an unrecognizable version of our first dance, and then left town without staying in the hotel rooms we contractually booked and payed for them.

We are glad that Sarah points out that the music was amazing and are very sorry that she felt disappointed.
We feel that it is unfair of Sarah to complain about the hotel rooms, as it was contractually agreed upon that Sarah would pay for the rooms, so that they would be available if we needed them.
We respectfully disagree with the rest of her complaints- they do not reflect our experience of what happened.

The band was great, everyone loved them! I pretty much told them to play whatever they wanted instead of having special request and I am glad I did, they did an amazing job. They really made our 1920's wedding great!

PJB was phenomenal. From the communication with Cecilia (booking manager) to the day of! They played our songs as requested and everyone at the wedding reception loved them! I really wanted the 4 person band, but was overly happy about how the trio turned out. Thank you for making our 1920s gatsby theme wedding perfect!

Perserverance Jazz Band was unbelievable! Jonathan was great to work with and so nice! My wife and I sent him some of our favorite New Orleans Jazz songs and they played every single one at cocktail hour. The band truly brought a taste of New Orleans to our wedding! They made cocktail hour so much fun...our guests loved them and are still talking about them!!! Amazing band!

The band was absolutely fantastic. Not only were they very easy to work with, they were a huge hit with my guests. Everyone absolutely loved the music. Lots of people asked about where they could hear more. I didn't really know what I wanted in terms of specific songs for the processional, first dance, etc. and left if up to the band to decide and nailed it. It was clear they have a lot of experience playing weddings. If you like this era/genre of music, I highly recommend Perseverance Jazz Band. I most likely won't have an occasion to hire them again, but I am going to go out and see them play in town sometime.

I requested a 4-pc version of PJB and they were wonderful. We had a small venue & no amplification was needed. Strong sound accurately represented by their online samples. My guests kept asking me where I found the band - everyone was quite impressed. Thank you so much - I would definitely recommend the band & schedule them again.

Jonathan and his band memebers were great! They worked so well in helping us plan our Mardi Gras themed party and their music tied right into the theme and got the crowd moving! We asked the band to dress up in old style New Orleans and they nailed it and had no problem doing it! They played all the way thru and were very professional! It was a pleasure working with Perserverance!
