The Mixx Reviews

The MIXX was amazing, they did everything we wanted and more. We were lucky to book them 2 months before our wedding and at a lower cost than many other bands. The Mixx responded very fast to calls and e-mails and were very professional. All our guests loved the MIXX and the dance floor was always full from beginning to end. We especially loved when the sax player and one of the singers would solo on the dance floor with the crowd. The highlight of the night was when the crowd yelled encore and they played "Shout" by the Isley Brothers. The MIXX really made our wedding memorable and we would definitely recommend them for any event.

Just wanted to thank you for making Henrietta's 90th birthday party on 28th of September 2013 at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay such a success. You made a family celebration very special for Henrietta and everyone else. She can still dance with the best of us and your band made that happen. Great musicians, wonderful vocals and lots of fun for all generations with your perfect song choices. You really picked up the vibe of the crowd and played what they wanted to hear. What a night! Thank you to the Mixx from making our day so memorable. Our music is so important to us, and you guys didn't fail to deliver. We talked about our needs, and you listened. At the ceremony itself, your guitarist, Lare Garcia, entertained our guests while waiting for the bride and then played the most amazing blues riff for the Katherine's bridal entrance... You were all flexible in playing longer while cocktail hour led into a longer dinner than expected... Carolyn belted out a great version of our first dance At Last, and when Jerry danced and sang amongst us, all of the crowd went wild. Perfect wedding, with a perfect band. Bloody brilliant !

The Mixx performed MC duties, ceremony music, cocktail hour music, and reception music at our wedding for nearly 7 hours and did a really incredible job. Everyone had a wonderful time and we have heard from many guests that it was the best reception they have ever attended. The music selection and the variety of styles, as well as their great talent, make them perfect for any reception. We are hoping to hire them again for events in the future.

To sum it up, we are trying to come up w/another reason to hire The Mixx. On September 1st, they played at our wedding at Pine Mountain Lake in Groveland, and they exceeded our expectations. Ever since we booked them (early),we told our guests that we had hired a 'kick-butt' band to play at our upcoming wedding. They not only remained flexible of our worries of the proximity of the Rim Fire, they arrived eager and prepared, and they provided us w/a celebratory afternoon of wonderful music and entertainment. Finding a good band is difficult as you are not sure based on the music listed how well they will play or will the employees like them. The Mixx exceeded our expectations, they played a wide range of music from all genres and our employees had a great time. We recommend The Mixx for any type of event as they know how to play to the crowd.

Danny and The Mixx did everything they needed to do and more. It is great to have a band that takes care of you and accomadates all your needs. They brought sound and music to our outside venue, took care of the microphones and amplification, played before and after the ceremony and then after dinner. Every comment from the crowd was positive and they loved all the music. Definitely a great band for a wedding.
