The Legendary Dukes are an 8 piece high energy classic R&B / Soul Band that has been performing (as of 2007) for 50 years. With five lead vocalists (4 male & 1 female) and everyone singing background you get a sound that`s diverse and always full & rich. Originaly known as 'Wilmer Alexander & the Dukes' the band still puts on the "Electric, stop you in your tracks" show that it`s always been known for. With three CD`s available including the original "Wilmer & The Dukes" recording,the Band still performs the hit singles "Give Me One More Chance","Livin` in the USA" and "I`m Free". For the event you are hosting ( Wedding, Corporate Party, Concert,etc.. ) The Legendary Dukes will get your audience to it`s feet and keep them their all night long. With our extensive song list we can cater our performance to your audience. Our own in-house DJ will also help keep the party jumpin` even when the band is on break. If you have special music you`d like played either before the Dukes take the stage or during the band`s breaks, we are both CD and Ipod friendly. The Classic R&B/Soul/Classic Rock hits of the `60`s/`70`s and beyond is music that everyone knows and loves and no one does it better than - The Legendary Dukes ! And talk about ONE STOP SHOPPING for all your wedding day or party music needs. The Legendary Dukes also offer for your conveinience, music for your ceremony, cocktail hour and other functions that come from our regular configuration. Our Classically trained horn section can perform as a solo, dou or Brass trio for your ceremony. Or may you`d like a solo flute with your organist or maybe a flute trio? Our keyboardist can also provide you with music for the ceremony or cocktail hour. Maybe an acoustic guitar is more to your liking. Acoustic guitar & flute or saxophone or maybe piano & saxophone, or piano, bass & drums for your cocktail hour. Looking for something a little off the beaten path, we can even provide a small "Dixieland" type band (Clarinet, trumpet, Drums & Tuba) for your wedding ceremony if that`s what you`d like.
