If The Beatles' Ed Sullivan appearance launched a million music careers, these guys are living proof. SixtyFour are five men who all play professionally in Nashville, with some impressive pedigrees. Between record production, international performance tours, Grammy award nominations, Grammy wins, and platinum album sales, the members of SixtyFour are renaissance men who love “returning to the well” of Beatles music. Keep in mind, they DO NOT DRESS like the Beatles. Instead, they use their considerable talents to accurately reproduce the sound of The Beatles' records which continue to have a major impact on pop and rock music today. Mark Lee Townsend (guitar and vocals) played with DC Talk and produces records for Reliant K and others; Stephen Leiweke (lead and rhythm guitar) has worked as an engineer and musician with Chris Tomlin, Michael W. Smith, Plumb, and others; Stephen Mason (bass and vocals) is a charter member of Grammy winners Jars of Clay; Steve Guthrie (keyboards, percussion and vocals) has backed up Lee Greenwood, Ricky Skaggs, John Elefante and others; Chris Cooke (drums and vocals) has backed up Sandra McCracken, Scott Riggan, produced recordings for Concerning Lions and Flying Colours. They have performed together as SixtyFour since 2008, and regularly play around middle Tennessee. They are perennial favorites at the Abbey Road on the River Festival in Louisville, KY -- the world's largest Beatles inspired music festival.
